Who am I?

Hi, I'm Stephen Gunn. I am a Kansas City resident, artist, and musician. I enjoy creativity and the process that it takes to realize the creative potential that exists everywhere. I spend my time playing music, preparing food, hanging with my dog, working on my computer, being outside, and knowing the people that inspire me.

I currently work for a company called SPIDERtel. I concentrate on user experience while fulfilling the role of a graphic designer, web designer, and web architect. SPIDERtel is a 10 person large company that develops web based applications from scratch for companies around the world.

When I'm not at the office, I spend the majority of my time working on music. My band is called Mouth. We are a trio of KC based musicians that plays electro-infused dance music in a funk context. Mouth is currently playing & booking throughout the midwest. I am also a seasoned studio session drummer, and I get asked to play on quite a few projects.

How do I design?

I organize disorder. I find similarities and patterns inside of chaos. I give information a voice. I am conscious of process and can justify change. I have fun and I let it show in my work.

What services do I offer?

I build slick and clean projects on the web that span all levels of complexity and mediums. I can create a brand from the ground up or consult on existing branding / brand-advocacy. I am a part of SPIDERtel's Social Media Marketing team and have experience building campaigns that utilize the core of the internet's media channels. I am also an experienced music producer and session drummer and have played / recorded drums for churches, rock bands, singer-songwriters, funk acts, electronic acts, hiphop acts, and a ton of other styles of music.
